Threading

Diversified Metal Products provides precision threading services for pipe, fittings, flanges, and bar stock. Our threading process is engineered to meet both standard and custom specifications, ensuring a secure and leak-proof connection in demanding industrial environments. We serve a wide range of industries, including petrochemical, oil & gas, power generation, and mechanical contracting.

We offer two of the most widely used thread types:

  • NPT (National Pipe Thread – Tapered): This thread type features a tapered profile that tightens as it is threaded, creating a pressure-tight seal. NPT threads are ideal for fluid and gas transfer applications where sealing is critical.
  • NPSM (National Standard Free-Fitting Straight Mechanical): This straight thread is primarily used in low-pressure mechanical connections where sealing is achieved with a gasket or O-ring rather than the thread itself.

Threading is available in both:

  • Male (MPT) and Female (FPT)
  • Multiple sizes and thread pitches, depending on your project's specifications.
